EL Chalten travel packages

Every year, we receive many inquiries from travelers who enjoy hiking but do not have enough time to gather all the area information nor have the logistical
support to do so on their own. Therefore, we have designed this option which includes a mix of the best excursions in the region.
We will pick you up at the hotel and we trip organization. Our guides and staff will be ready to help you enjoy a once in a lifetime experience. You would be able to make up a program with different possibilities in terms of duration and difficulty and for a reasonable price, without losing services quality.
Any person walking regularly in hills or mountains will feel comfortable. Also, those people who practice aerobic sports on a regular basis and are reasonably fit.
This category includes long waking days and perhaps shorter but more demanding walks, such as a short ice-hike like the Viedma Trek, or several day hikes linked with campsites. There is no technical difficulty. The trails are generally easy to follow and well-marked.

Day 1 | Valle del Río de las Vueltas/ Desert Lake / Laguna Condor.
This is a full day enjoying this unique corner of Patagonia with a traditional Argentinian lunch. The proposal includes a visit to Lago Del Desierto,
where you can choose to do a short navigation through the lake or a short hike to Huemul Glacier. (extra fees to paid at the place) From both places,
you can admire stunning views of the valley of the Rio de Las Vueltas, Lago del Desierto and the northern face of Mount Fitz Roy. At noon, you go back to
Laguna Condor – Mountain Hut to have lunch and enjoy different activities, surrounded by stunning natural setting.

Day 2 | Laguna de los Tres Trek.
After breakfast, our guide and staff will take you in a transfer up to Hosteria El Pilar. Here we’ll start the first trekking where we can enjoy wonderful
sightseeing spot such as Piedras Blancas Glacier. As time goes by, you will be able to get the most important sighst of the entire Fitz Roy Massif with Saint Exupéry,Poincenot, Mermoz and Guillaumet Needles. From there, we’ll continue walking for two more hours through beautiful forests full of Lengas and Ñires until reaching Poincenot Basecamp. Here, we’ll hike the most demanding part of our trekking, ascending a steep slope until finally reaching Laguna de los Tres.
A unique reward will be waiting for us with such a majestic sight of Mt Fitz Roy, “Los Tres” Glacier and its lagoons. After great pictures and a good rest,
we’ll go back to Poincenot Camp, where the staff will be waiting for whole the group. We’ll have a great dinner and then go to sleep.

Day 3 | Laguna Torre Trek
After breakfast, we’ll start the second adventure towards the “Madre Hija Lagoon Hike”. During this hike, we’ll enjoy from the unique views of Mt Solo,
Adela’s Range and the stunning Mt Torre. As we get closer to the Torres’ lagoon, we’ll discover the “Grande and Torre Glacier”. We’ll also see the
Agostini campsite, a famous camp for all those climbers attempting the needles of this area. After around 2 hours, we’ll finally reach the famous lagoon,
where we can admire and take unique pictures of the breathtaking Torre, the Egger tower, etc. Once we finish our lunch and take more pictures, we’ll return
to El Chaltén. End of services.

The program starts and ends in El Chaltén. Passenger will have to carry their day pack with their water and daily meal. Sleeping bags and mattresses
will be at the Poincenot/ Thorwood camp already.
This itinerary can change due to weather conditions or other unusual situations that may put in risk the group security.
The guides have the authority to change the schedule according to their criteria. You can be sure the changes have two fundamental objectives: to maximize clients’ safety and to succeed with the program. What is more, they are based on our guides knowledge and experience.
Kitchen and food tents are completely equipped with tables, chairs and dishes. They are attended by a group of mountain service professionals,
in charge of preparing meals and offering a great service always with a smile. At the campsite, you’ll also find an outdoor toilet.
