Enjoying fully Patagonian lakes and rivers will definitely enrich your visit to the area. These activities are for people with good fitness but not necessarily
with experience in kayaking. We have designed programs so that beginners and experienced kayakers can enjoy our program as well. The River, as the name implies, descends into Lake Viedma making numerous turns through lush Lengas forests and vertical walls. This way, it transports the water from melting glaciers in the region, including the high glaciers of Mount Fitz Roy. From our privileged position in the kayak and over 20 miles, we will enjoy unique views of Fitz Roy and its needles satellites, which are completely different from what can be seen from a trail. Our day starts with our Laguna Condor – Mountain hut and ends at the town El Chaltén.
At 10:45am, we’ll meet at our office to take our transfer to Laguna Condor Mountain Hut. (21km) Once we arrive there, our guide will give us an introductory
talk about our itinerary. At the same time, we’ll check our suits and all the gear. We’ll practice some paddling and safety techniques to take into account
during our excursion Once in the kayak, we’ll get some more practicing in the beautiful “Laguna Condor” and our guide will answer any doubt or request you may have.
We’ll continue this unique descend, where we’ll get breathtaking views from all the Fitz Roy Massif and the river will turn on our adrenaline through all our body.
At El Chaltén, a transfer will be waiting for us to take us to Hosteria El Puma. Here, we’ll be able to change our clothes and enjoy a deserved snack.
After remembering our first anecdotes, we’ll say goodbye to you, wishing you’ve had an amazing day.
