.Outfit: Sport shoes or trekking boots. Rubber and apres ski boots, as well as high heel shoes are not allowed. Comfortable sports wear, long trousers,warm sweater or pile, water or windproof jacket, sun glasses, sun block, gloves..

 

A perfect opportunity to visit El Chaltén in one day and enjoy the unique, exclusive, natural scenery in the Northern area of Los Glaciares National Park. 
You will depart from El Calafate very early in the morning and sail across Lake Viedma, visiting the front wall of the glacier, or else go trekking on the Viedma glacier.

 

Guided tour traveling to El Chalten through Patagonian steppe, watching the Lake Argentino, Santa Cruz River, La Leona River, Lake Viedma, Fitz Roy river, patagonia wildlife, (Guancacos, red foxes, Guanacos, condor, etc)  visit and lunch at the "Condor Shelter" (Ex Ecocamp), a site nestled in a beautiful landscape on the banks of the "De las Vueltas" River and overlooking the north face of Fitz Roy. In the  afternoon we head to  Bahia Tunnel pier, on the banks of Lake Viedma, where embark for the Viedma navigation, towards Viedma Glacier, the largest in "The Glacier's National Park, (followed by the

Upsala and the second largest in the southern hemisphere) and as we sail we make visible the glacier front 2.5 kilometers wide and its ice walls over 50 meters high and started a approximation touring the front from a safe distance, and then to observe and take photographs, navigating back to Bahia Tunel and once we landed started back to El Calafate.
